Council Let Out For The Summer & Displayed At Parade.

June 9, 2014

The mayor & council were let out in the public for the first time this year as a group to join the Memorial Day parade. Order was kept during their walk from Sherman to Chestnut as they were corralled along the path to avoid unnecessary contact with residents. Once on Chestnut they were put into their invisible fence cage and watched over the parade instead of the parade’s Grand Marshal, Sam Damiano.

Danger was averted when a small child in the parade wandered off and almost came in contact with them. The child’s mother ran to save her little tike and told him, “No, no honey. Don’t touch them. They haven’t been fed yet.”

Once the parade was over the elected officials were allowed to mix with the general population before being put back in storage only to come out during meetings.
