Library To Take Over Full-Day Kindergarten

June 9, 2014

Day Care Blocks

The public library almost made a sweet deal with the Board of Ed to take care of kids instead of having the schools close down libraries. Seeing as some parents send their kids to the library after school so they don’t have to pay day care, the library wanted to offer day care for kindergarteners for a small fee.

A library spokesman, speaking under anonymity, said, “Heck! This kids flood the library after schools and since they’re closing down the libraries at schools, why not have them come here, they’ll have a library and we can finally get paid to do what we do anyway? Provide daycare.”

The entire idea was kaboshed when the libraries got put back into the schools without librarians.
